CROSSWORD ANSWERS See puzzle Page 61) Jerome Beckett Jerome Beckett, 64, of Frankford died suddenly Friday, March 13, 2015, at Beeb Medical Center. Born May 18, 1950 in Philadelphia, he was the son of William H. Beckett Sr. and Anna Andrews Beckett of Frankford. He graduated in 1968 from John M.

Clayton High School. After high school, he worked various jobs ntil he began his career with Oriole Chemical Carriers i Delaware City, having worked 19 plus years before retiring in 2008. After retirement, he began driving a school bus for the Indian River School District, servicing Millsboro Middle School. During the summer months, he worked as a bus driver for the Ocean City Department of Transportation. In 2005, he was honored with the prestigious award of Delaware State Driver of he Year, recognized in part for achieving one million miles accident free.

During his retirement years he thoroughly enjoyed driving the school bus and spend- i ng time twice a day with his student riders. He was a proud member of Union Wesley United Methodist Church in Clarksville, which he fondly referred to as his where he served as an usher, member of the choir and the President of United ethodist Men. He is survived by his mother Anna Andrews Beckett of Frankford, his wife of 42 years, Lucy McCray Becke tt, also of Frankford. Two children, Stanley J. Beckett Sr.

of Frankford and Pamela Beckett Barrett (Daniel) Millsboro and three grandchildren Brent, Stanley Jr. and Breanna. He is also survived by two aunts Roberta Snead of San Antonio, and Mildred Beckett of Millsboro. Three sisters in law Charlotte Barnett (Richard) of Newark, Estheleta Beckett of Millsboro and Dor othy Beckett of Wilmington. Two brothers in law Walt er McCray Jr.

(Ruth) and William McCray (Reba), both of Frankford, his uncle Harry Houston (Kathleen) of Millsboro, DE Along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of close friends. He is preceded in death by his father, William H. Beckett and all three siblings, William H. Beckett Clarence E. Beckett Sr.

and Linda Beckett, who was his twin and died in in- ancy. Services were held. Doris Elaine Cardwell Bell Doris Elaine Cardwell Bell, 80, died Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Harrison House Senior Living Facility in Georgetown he suffered from leg disorders that prevented her from walking. She was transferred to Harrison House this winter from Beebe Hospital in Lewes for rehabili- ation therapy. When the therapy failed she was cared for by hospice until her death.

She was born on July 27, 1934, the daughter of Frank a nd Mary Cardwell of Upland, Pennsylvania, and was the youngest of 12 children. After graduation from Eddystone High School in Eddystone, Pennsylvania, she ntered into the Assisted Living industry where she worked her entire life. Her last employment was at the Wawa Assisted Living facility in Wawa, Pennsylvania, rom which she retired and moved to Delaware with her husband. She was an artisan who was gifted in painting, decorating, and as a seamstress. While her passion was her home, she shared her many works of art with her friends and family members across Delaware, especially Sussex County, and in her home state of Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard W. Bell, and three nieces, Marianne Steinmacher, Kayrn Blair, and Mary Beth Riddagh. Services were held. Cornelius Vreeland Cadmus Cornelius Vreeland Cadmus, 74, of Georgetown died Thursday, March 12, 2015.

was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to the late Cornelius V. Cadmus Sr. and Lucy Pearl Latham admus. He retired from Union Carbide, Linde Divis ion. He also worked at Rutgers University as a technician with the Atom Super Collider.

In his earlier years while living in New Jersey he served as an ambulance volunteer with the Blue Cross and was also an instruct or of emergency medical services. Cornelius was a US avy Veteran. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather and was adored by his family. is survived by two daughters, Donna Franklin a nd her husband, Billy, of Dagsboro and Elizabeth Ea- le and her husband, Robert, of Georgetown; brother- in-law, Thomas Heide and his wife, Linda, of Piscata- ay, New Jersey; along with four grandchildren, Shanna, Jonathan, Amanda, Megan and four great-grand- hildren, Kirra, Baylie, Austyn and Aurora, as well as his canine friend, Chance. In addition to his parents, he i also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Cadmus in 2005, his son, Cornelius V.

Mildred Edna Cullen Mildred Edna Cullen, 92, of Roxana died Monday, March 16, 2015, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Campbelltown, Maryland, on July 1, 1 922, to the late Herman and Edna (Trader) Campbell.

She was a graduate of Buckingham High School Class of 1939 in Berlin. he was a quiet lady who loved the Lord, Jesus Christ and trusted Him as her Savior very early in her life. She was a faithful member of Roxana United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. While she helped her husband raise chick- ns on their farm, she was devoted to her family and will be forever remembered as a Godly wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. he is survived by two sons, Lawrence F.

(Toby) Cullen Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Millsboro, and John Paul Cullen and his wife, Carole, of Roxana as well as seven randchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Horace and Merrill Campbell, near Berlin, Maryland. In addition to er parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Lawrence F. Cullen and their infant son, Herman. ervices were held.

Jenny Rebecca Cribbin Jenny Rebecca Cribbin, 38, of Lewes died suddenly Monday, March 16, 2015, at her home. She was born Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1976 in Milford. She grew up in Farmington and was a 1994 graduate of Woodbridge High School.

Soon after, she embarked on a longtime career in Medical Billing, first working with Mark Hocker PA in Lewes. Most recently she was an Office Manager with Accoun Track Medical Services in Milton. She was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers fan who enjoyed traveling, cruising, taking long drives to nowhere in particular and painting classes. She was a errific movie and trivia buff, especially well versed in the TV series, She was a lover of hocolate, particularly Hershey Chocolate bars. She ad a great sense of humor and was extremely outgoing, never meeting a stranger.

She loved sitting on the beach soaking up the sun. She was an amazing decorator who had a natural eye for beauty. er husband, John, was truly the love of her life, her est friend, her confidant, her partner in all she did.
