He retired in 1987 from his job as a carpenter with H.B. Alexander Son in Harrisburg, Pa. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle in Salisbury. Bartol is survived by his wife, Ann Powell Workman Bartol of Del-mar; a son, Richard D. Bartol Jr.

of Dillsburg, two daughters, Bonnie L. Hoffman of Carlisle, and Kathleen J. Townsend of Salisbury, three stepsons, Gerald Workman, Jeffrey Workman and Timothy Workman, all of Delmar; a stepdaughter, Joanne Katzaman of Del-mar; two brothers, Jacob Bartol of Levitt, and Patrick Bartol of New Britton, a sister, Marie Okonowicz of Wilmington; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His first wife, Eleanor Bartol, died in, 1986. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m.

Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle on Tilghman Road in Salisbury, where friends may call one hour before the service. Burial will be at 5 p.m. at Rolling Green Cemetery in Camphill, Pa. Born in Frederick, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Rho-da K. Ferguson. She and her husband, the Rev. William H. Dewees, moved to Ocean City in 1941 upon his appointment as rector as St Paul's-By-The-Sea Church.

Her husband died in 1974. She was a member of the church, member of the St. Clare's Chapter at the church and a delegate to the Episcopal Church National Convention from the diocese of Easton in 1949 and 1956. She was also affiliated with several civic clubs in Ocean City. She is survived by two daughters, Alicia Speiden of Gaithersburg, and Wilhemina Jones of Wheaton, three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Bernice Warren of Cascade, and Mona Staley, Naomi Har-baugh and Lola Dewees, all of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Dennis Funeral Home In Snow Hill. Josephine Almond, governor's widow RICHMOND (AP) Josephine Katherine Minter Almond, widow of former Gov. J. Lindsay Almond, died Friday at her Richmond home at the age of 90.

A native of Roanoke, Josephine Minter married Almond in 1925, when he was a lawyer in that city. Mrs. Almond was president of the Women's Democratic Club of Roanoke. She was also a delegate-at-large from Virginia to the 1940 National DemoTatic Convention in Chicago. Almond was governor from 1958 to 1962, during the era of "massive resistance" to racial integration.

Tilghman SALISBURY Olive M. Tilgh-. man, 90, of here, died of respiratory arrest Saturday, April 11, 1992, in Salisbury Nursing Home, i Born in Galestown, she was a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Mary Griffith Wheatley, Her husband, H. Oliver Tilghman, died in 1972.

She was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Salisbury and the church's Homemakers Club. She is survived by two sons, Robert H. Tilghman and Norman E. Tilghman, Doth of Salisbury; four frandchildren, Debbie Tilghman, erri L. Deakyne, Kathy Harrison and Susan A Tilghman; two greatgrandchildren: a sister, Lola Geh-man of Audubon, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 6m. Tuesday at Holloway Funeral ome on Snow Hill Road in Salisbury. The Rev. Nelson B. Benjamin will officiate.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George Murray Ehrisman and Vesta Pauline Kitchens Ehrisman. He was president of the Wicomico County Firemens Association in 1991. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose 654 in Salisbury, where he was a past governor; the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department, where he held several past offices; Parsonsbure Ambulance Squad; and Moose Association, serving as the deputy supreme governor. She was 67. Schraer held the post at the campus for five years, beginning in 1987. UC President David Gardner credited Schraer with overseeing an enrollment growth at UC Riverside, opening the College of Engineering and improving faculty recruitment Konstantin Sergeyev. renowned dancer MOSCOW (AP) Konstantin Sergeyev, a renowned dancer, choreographer and former director of the Kirov Ballet, died April 1. He was 83.

SergeyeVs most recent production was "Corsar," at the BolBhoi Theater in Moscow. Sergeyev joined the Kirov ballet in 1930 and served as artistic director and ballet master from 1951-1955 and 1960-1970. Noyes, headed Oneida Ltd. ONEIDA, N.Y. (AP) Pierrepont Trowbridge Noyes, who headed Oneida Ltd. through a period of robust growth, died Wednesday, He was 78. The company started as a religious commune and today is among the world's largest tableware makers.

Noyes retired in 1981 as chairman and chief exective, after 45 years with the company. He served as president from 1960 to 1978. Noyes' grandfather, John Humphrey Noyes, founded the Oneida community in 1848. It began manufacturing flatware in 1877. Rosemary S.J.
