A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Zion United Methodist Church on Back Creek Road in Bishopville. The Rev.

Janice Fay Hornsby SALISBURY Janice Fay Hornsby, 66, of Salisbury died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at Salisbury kernel, vjcu- mn imi esis Elder- H. Russell Sr. He served his country in the Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

Mr. Russell was employed as a security guard for Wicomico County. In addition to his mother, he leaves cherished memories with his wife, Mollie Russell of Salisbury; two stepsons, Calvin Hol-brook Jr. of Elizabethtown, and Dale Holbrook of Norfolk, two stepdaughters, Tina Holbrook of Baltimore and Angela Barkley of Somerset, N.J.; two brothers, Lonnie Russell of Forestville, and Martin Russell of Clinton, three sisters, Denise Russell and Lourene Ray, both of Clinton and Wendy Dews of Greenbelt, four grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.

at First Baptist Churchon the corner of Delaware Avenue and Booth Street in Salisbury. The Rev. Lewis N. Watson will officiate. Family and friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

at the church and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens on Route 50 in Salisbury, near Hebron. A ministry of comfort and dignity is being provided by Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home in Salisbury. Mrs.

Scott was a member of the Tabernacle of Prayer in Salisbury, where she served as a mother of the church and a choir member. She was employed as a foster grandparent with Shore-Up Inc. in Salisbury. She leaves many fond memories with her husband, Comie Scott of Eden; one son, Anthony Scott of Eden; four daughters, Blanche White and Evangela Duffy, both of Salisbury, and Elaine Scott of Eden and Barbara A. Jones of Princess Anne; one brother, Sidney Owens of Delray Beach, two sisters, Elder Ollie Mae Carter of Fruitland and Elnora Terry of Salisbury; three aunts, Emily Hunter of Barnwell, Learleen Mentor of Fruitland and Elouise Hunter of Delray Beach; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Tabernacle of Prayer, located on Mitchell and Parsons Roads in Salisbury Elder Rosie Edwards will officiate. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Visitation will also be held Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Lewis N.

Watson Funeral Home on West Road in Salisbury. Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens on Route 50 in Salisbury, near Hebron. Julia Anna McGrath Vetra MOUNT VERNON Julia Anna McGrath Vetra, 90, our beloved mother and best friend, Care. Born in she was a daughter of the late SELBYVILLE Leslie Howard Lynch, 64, of Selbyville died Monday, Sept. 9, 2003, at home.

He was a son of the late Ruleth and Elizabeth Johnson Lynch. He was a quality engineer with Northrup-Grumman at Wallops Flight Center in Wallops Island. He also was in the military for 32 years, serving in the Air Force, Army and Delaware Army National Guard, from which he retired in 1999 as a chief warrant officer. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Bishopville; Selbyville Elks Lodge 2173; Ocean City American Legion Post 166; Disabled American Veterans; Vietnam Veterans of America; and served as vice president of the McCabe Family Clan. Mr.

Lynch is survived by his wife, Kim M. Lynch of Sel- John Allen Wright Harris SALISBURY John Allen Wright Harris, 93, of Salisbury died Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, at Wicomico Nursing Home in Salisbury. Born in Smyth County, he was a son of the late George Kirk and Sara Comer Harris. He was preceded in death in 1993 by his wife, Margie Lee Harris.

Mr. Harris was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 64 and DAV Eastern Shore 34. In his earlier days, he was a coal miner in West Virginia and later worked in construction until retiring in 1975.

He is survived by three children, John A. Harris of Winter Garden, Sammy L. Harris of Waverly, and Jolene S. Meadows of Montgomery Village, a foster daughter, Wanda Vanegas of Princess Anne; a sister, Laura Harris of Goodview, two brothers, George K. Harris Jr.

of Stoning-ton, and Claude G. Harris of Saltville, eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a private memorial service will be held at sea by the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 34, 821 E. Mr. Windsor was born April 26, 1945, in Salisbury, to the late Capt. Harry W. and Margaret Lawson Windsor of Deal Island. For the last 33 years, Mr.

Windsor worked in various capacities at Delaware Technical and Community College, Owens campus, where in 1970 be became the first campus graduate to be hired in a full-time position. Since 1990, Mr. Windsor served as the campus assistant business manager and prior to that worked as registrar, assistant registrar, financial aid officer and also as an internal auditor in the president's office of the college. A 1975 graduate of Richard Stockton State College with a bachelor's degree in administrative studies and business administration, Mr. Windsor earned an associate's degree in applied science from Delaware Technical and Community College in 1968.

Mr. Windsor served his country proudly for five years in the U.S. Navy with two tours of combat duty in Vietnam. He attended Grace United Methodist Church in Millsboro. Mr.

Windsor is survived by his wife, Dr. Harriet Smith Windsor, Delaware secretary of state; a daughter, Nicole M. Windsor of Seaford; a granddaughter, Rosemary Paige Hopkins of Seaford; three sisters, Peggy Webster of Deal Island, Judy Sparr of Eden and Elaine Bolden of Princess Anne; two brothers, Robert Windsor of Raleigh, N.C., and Carl Windsor of Hialeah, a stepson, James A. Smith Jr. of Middle-town, a stepdaughter, Julia O'Hanlon of Wilmington; a step-grandson, Brady Smith of Mid-dletown, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

A service of tribute will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, Morris and Church Street in Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier. The service will be officiated by the Rev. Dr. Brooks Reynolds and the Rev.

Rob Townsend. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Richard Lawson Windsor Scholarship Fund, in care of Dr. Barbara Ridgely Business Manager, Delaware Technical and Community College, Owens campus, PO Box 610, Georgetown, Del. 19947. Saundra Mae Smith SALISBURY Saundra Mae Smith, 55, formerly of Philadelphia died Sr. and Janice Hornsby Viola Booth Bowden. Her husband, Bobby Hornsby, preceded her in death. She is survived by five children, Debra Jean Collins of Laurel, Jerrie Lou Bratten of Pittsville, Edward Parsons of Salisbury, Joseph Wayne Parsons of Baltimore and Cathy Sue Parsons of Baltimore; three sisters, Eula Lee Hyle of Fruitland, Mildred Thornton of Chin-coteague, Earline Mears of Del-mar; a brother, Donald Bowden of Salisbury; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Delmarva Evangelistic Church Prayer Chapel in Salisbury with calling time one half hour prior to the service. The Rev. Susie Jarrett will officiate. Contributions may be made in her memory to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, Md.

Bailey retired in 1995 from Salisbury Auto Trim; at the age of 76. She was married to Raymond J. Bailey of Salisbury, who preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Bailey is survived by her seven children, Glenda Beach of Hebron, Penny Bowden of Hur-lock, Nancy Pletcher of Mooresville, N.C, Wallace Bailey of Salisbury, Maggi Weidler, Raymond R.

Bailey and Glendon J. Bailey of Hebron, a sister, Peggy Howard Ruebens of Silver Spring, a sister-in-law, Betty A. Steere of Salisbury; five nephews; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. A memorial service to her life will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon and Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk.

Eugene Connelly POCOMOKE CITY Eugene "Archie" Connelly, 75, of Pocomoke City died peacefully at home of cancer on Monday, Sept. 8, 2003.

Born Feb. 5, 1928, in Oxnard, he was a son of the late Joseph and Pearl Lamb Connelly Mr. Connelly was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Pocomoke City, where he served as past president of the parish council and on the building maintenance committee. He was a volunteer at the Seton Center and its food program and a life member of the Pocomoke Elks BPOE 1624. Mr.

Connelly retired as a civil servant in 1994, after serving 27 years with NOAA at Wallops Island. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret "Peg" Connelly; a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Janet Connelly and children, Jonathan and Rosemary of Brunswick, a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kay Connelly and son, Devin, of Raymore, a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Mark Burdeshaw and children, Emily, Alex and Matthew, of Aberdeen, four sisters, Patricia Carr of Fairfield, Connie Burdullis and Carolyn Curtis, both of Oxnard, Margaret Fischer of Camarillo, and a large Connelly family An infant son, Kevin Connelly, and a brother, Joseph Connelly, preceded him in death. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Pocomoke City, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Father Raymond Forester and Father William Porter will officiate.
