In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary "Betty" Elizabeth Weaver, who died Oct 14, 1998. SALISBURY George Calvin "Zeth" Weaver 87, of Salisbury, and formerly of Greensboro, died Friday, May 9, 2008, at Anchorage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury. He was born Oct 7, 1920, in Greensboro to the late Leacy Edwards and Zeth Weaver Sr.

Mr. Weaver was a 1937 graduate of Greensboro High School. He was a dairy and grain farmer. In addition to farming, he was employed with Saulsbury Brothers of Ridgely for 23 years. He went on to work for Tony Keene as an agricultural consultant He was a former board member for the Denton Bank, as well as a member of the Redman's Lodge and the Maryland Farm Bureau.

SALISBURY Estelle Marie White Ruark, 81, of Salisbury died Friday, May 9, 2008, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Bom in Siloam, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Ida Estelle Shockley White. Mrs. Ruark was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Mount Vernon Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She worked in retail for many years, most recently at Kuhn's Jewelers, and in the past she volunteered at Pine Bluff Village.

She loved traveling and fishing with her husband, Roger, dancing and gardening. She loved life and her Lord Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Roger J. Ruark of Salisbury; four children, Bruce Wayne Ruark and his wife, Rosemary, of Salisbury, Sandra Lee Hill and her husband, James Michael, of Snow Hill, Gregory L. Ruark and his wife, Barbara, of Delmar and Robert Dean Ruark and his wife, Marsha, of FruitJand; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Hill Richardson and her husband, Walter, Kelly Dana Ruark Krupinsky and her husband, Kevin, Catherine Ruark McClain and her husband, Michael, Russell Ruark, Jennifer Ruark, Darin Ruark, Kurt Ruark, and Gloria Ruark; three greatgrandchildren, Hannah I MORE OBITUARIESPage 64 Richardson, Elisabeth Krupinsky and Alexis Ruark; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury. The Rev. Dr.

F. David Weber, the Rev. Howard Gordy and her nephew, the Rev. John Kalfayan, will officiate. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery.

Food and fellowship will follow the interment. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 8, and Tuesday an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Ruark to Grace United Methodist Church, 635 E. Church St, Salisbury, Md.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Community Church of Ocean Pines where friends may call an hour prior to the service. The Rev. Dr. Thomas McKelvey will officiate.

Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 at the church. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Berlin. Shore schools raise food for hungry OCEAN PINES Clifton "Clif" Elliott Streat 84, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin. Born in Baltimore, he was a son of the late Clifton E. Streat Sr. and Ethel Streat Mr.

Streat had been a teacher for 30 years at Mi ford Mill Middle School in Baltimore County. He was a World War II Army veteran, having fought and been captured in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a Purple Heart recipient and a member of the Eastern Shore P.O. W. Association.

He was a founding member of the Community Church of Ocean Pines and Community Church of Ocean Pines Choir. He was baptized by the water of the River Jordan. He was past president of the Randallstown Lions Club and a member of the BerlinOcean City Lions Club and American Legion Sinepuxent Post 166 in Ocean City, the Berlin Heritage Foundation, Baltimore County and the Retired Teachers Association. He was a graduate of Washington College and went on to further his studies at Johns Hopkins University. He was a member of Johns Hopkins Alumni Association and was an honorary member of the Red Hat Society.

He is survived by his wife, Wilda Madyline Miller Stroh Streat; his daughters, Mary Crommwell and her husband, Robert, of Corvalis, Mont, Ariene Hager and her husband, Glenn, of Salisbury, Doris Patricia Frick and her husband, Paul, of Salisbury, Joanne Tyndall and her husband, Michael, of Ocean Pines and Barbara Berkeley and her husband, Tom, of Tucson, a son-in-law, Ron Reed, and his wife, Aneke; two nephews, Kenneth Lee Streat and Wayne Streat and his wife, Karen; two nieces, Joyce Streat and Jayanne Dominic; close niece and afford school children an opportunity to learn about hunger and collect food for their local Food Bank. The Maryland Food Bank Salisbury Branch and counterparts in turn distribute the food to needy children across the state. BALTIMORE Three Lower Shore schools will be recogized Tuesday by the Maryland Food Bank for leading their county in a special drive that raised enough food to fix 600,000 meals for hungry children. PARSONSBURG Carrie Lankford passed away peacefully from lung cancer Thursday, May 8, 2008, at his daughter's home in Salisbury. He was also known as Muscles, John, Pop and Poppy. He was born Nov.

8, 1927, to the late Lola Lorenzo Lankford and Maggie Lankford Townsend in Union Point Ga. He retired from Perdue after many years as a maintenance engineer and equipment operator. John Lankford was known to do jobs that no one else would do, and for many years, this southern man worked barefoot year-round and was never sick. When OSHA regulations were put into effect, they made wearing steel-toed shoes a requirement. Frank Perdue and John's late wife, Bessie, talked him out of quitting and into wearing a pair of boots for safety purposes.

When Johnny wasn't helping out his family, friends and neighbors, he enjoyed being at the Eastside Men's (Eagles) Club or the Moose in Salisbury with his friends.
